The Baltimore Times is a free community newspaper whose readers are underrepresented African American community-conscious consumers. The Baltimore Times connects Baltimore City and surrounding counties including Anne Arundel County through its digital platform, print, in-person events and social media. For over 35 years, The Baltimore Times has delivered “Positive Stories about Positive People”, representing our commitment to delivering informative, inspirational, and empowering stories to Maryland’s African American community. 

A trusted and valued source for information, The Baltimore Times has a focus on local community, city and state government, religion, business, sports, finance, entertainment, and real estate news. The Baltimore Times is the recipient of several community awards, City of Baltimore Presidential Citation: “Outstanding Community Services for Wholesome Development of Youth & Young Adults in the Community ”; Kool Achiever Award: “National Recognition for Creating a Better Inner City”; Baltimore City Citizen Citation for “Outstanding Contributions to the Civic Welfare of the Municipality; Congressional Special Certificate of Recognition for “Giving Voice to the Positive, the Possible and the People”

The Baltimore Times is a multi-media platform that reports positive stories in and around the Baltimore city and surrounding communities.  Our reporting and events serve to improve the overall well-being of our reporting community.   Our events serve to further the efforts of improving the quality of life--including health related, business and housing.
