Nearly 40 years ago, 65 dedicated individuals gathered in Waltham, Massachusetts, for the inaugural OFN conference. Held on October 16, 1985, this gathering ignited a movement for economic justice that laid the foundation for the CDFI industry.

This year, from October 21-24, thousands of CDFI practitioners, funders, investors, policymakers, and other industry stakeholders will gather for OFN40 — the 40th annual OFN Conference.

This milestone comes during a transformative year for OFN, our members, the CDFI industry, and the communities we serve. CDFIs are receiving a historic, once-in-a-generation influx of federal, climate-focused capital.

The theme for this year, Made by History. Made for this Moment, was informed by our network and woven throughout the conference agenda. This theme aims to explore the industry’s major milestones, biggest opportunities, and most pressing concerns. We will celebrate our industry’s past and leverage our history to seize our current moment together. Now is the time to invest and prepare for growth and scale.
